Instapot vs Crock-Pot: Which kitchen appliance is the best

How Instant Pots Are Different Than Crock Pots And Can Replace Them Easily

Most people these days have various cooking appliances in their kitchen that help them imitate the great recipes of the best restaurants in the world, automatically, with computer controls and settings. The older, Crock Pot, or slow cooker, of the past was perfect for some of that, with its long, slow cook times, it made some of the most tender meats imaginable. However, it took at least 4 to 5 hours to accomplish this feat. That’s great if you have the time. Nowadays, due to modern technology, anyone can replicate a slow cooker, or Crock Pot, recipe in about 30 minutes using an Instant Pot instead.

High-Pressure Steam Is The Reason

The Instant Pot is sealed so that the steam stays inside and builds up to a sufficient level. Then the high-temperature, high-pressure steam is forced into the foods to cook them all of the ways through rapidly. The slow cooker, instead uses long slow cooking to penetrate the food slowly and eventually break down the toughness to make it tender and flavorful.

Not everyone has the time for a Crock Pot, so using high-pressure steam has taken the world by storm, with millions of these machines being sold each year. The foods taste better since the sealed pot holds in the flavor, it’s fast because of the steam, and it’s automatically computer controlled. Having it be automatic means that, once you have the recipe correctly timed out, you can achieve the exact same results, every single time. That’s whether you get interrupted by the phone, have to pick up your kids at school, or whatever, the computer controlled Instant Pot will turn off on time, every time.

The Instant Pot Replaces Several Appliances

Counter space is tight these days, in most modern kitchens, there is the rice steamer, Crock Pot, blender, microwave, toaster, stove, and even electric frying pan. What you’ll find, especially if you start reading recipes on the internet, is that the Instant Pot is so convenient you’ll never use your Crock Pot, rice steamer, or saucepan again.

That’s because, the Instant Pot multi-cooker can make all of the various rice dishes better and faster than a rice steamer. It has it’s own sauce function to get the Maillard Reaction from the meat before you start. Then you can add your rice and vegetables to that same pot, hit the start button, and in about 8 to 10 minutes of cook time, have your complete meal ready to serve. You’ll barely have time to set the table and get all the kids in from the yard before the meal is done the cooking.

If you’re a busy household, and who isn’t these days, then you’ll love your multi-cooker for all of the dozens of things it can do. However, the people that get the best use of their machines are the ones that take advantage of the millions of tested recipes that are now available on the internet to vary their meals every day of the week with another great dish.
